A BIT ABOUT ME
I am a licensed athletic trainer and certified athletic therapist (Canada). After 11 years of working as an athletic trainer in collegiate athletics at the University of Washington, I transitioned in 2017 to personal training, specializing in customized training to strengthen and support clients with injuries and medical conditions, in addition to training for strength or performance. I gain great satisfaction in seeing people return to the activities they love. My own passions of running and cycling have lead me into the triathlon training world, and the challenge of improving myself in those events. I approach training from the perspective that if I were to be dropped in the middle of the wilderness somewhere, I want to be able to get out. Physical and mental strength are paramount, along with the belief that I CAN.

I was referred to Katie because of her sports training background with the UW football program. After a rough shoulder injury playing indoor soccer my mobility and ability to function normally was still a problem after 6 months. Katie led me during weekly hour long training sessions at my gym. She would then follow up via email with exercises I could do at home. She implemented a full body approach with exercises I have never thought to do. She drives but in an encouraging way with healing as the end goal at all times. I would highly recommend seeing Katie to heal any body issues or to just mix up your workout routine.
